Why Invader?

Independent Publishing v.s. self-publishing or “supported” self publishing

Self-publishing or “supported” self-publishing is the process of publishing books and/or other media by the authors of those works. Self-publishing differs from traditional publishing in that the author takes on the responsibilities usually handled by a large publishing house. Those responsibilities include: obtaining Copyright and ISBNs (International Standard Book Number), manuscript editing, graphic art and design of the book’s cover and interior, printing the completed book, acquiring distribution and marketing the finished work to generate sales. A self-publishing company generally offers these services at an upfront cost usually in the thousands of dollars. These self-publishing companies offer a service requiring a major financial investment before a single book is published.

Invader Press has created a wholly new and exclusive form of publishing - Independent Publishing. Independent Publishing performs in a completely unique way. This new approach follows the example of the independent film and music industries in that we participate in developing the writers we publish. We distribute your works under the traditional distribution channels and promote books utilizing a variety of alternative and cross marketing strategies.
